This dreadful Covid-19 crisis really kicked us out of our comfort zone. All of a sudden, we had to face a new reality to keep our world moving forward and must rely on on-line resources to teach and receive our daily lessons.
However, it was not that easy at first and many were rather anxious since they were not familiar with all the available yet unknown tools we had at our disposal. Little by little, that initial apprehension began to subside, and we became more and more confident with those digital assets that not only gave us the chance to easily and safely interact with our students but also were able to see their faces as we do on a regular basis.
The early worries we felt slowly became inquiries on how to use such platform effectively and who could help us out. As in any crisis, there were more generous volunteers than we expected and, together, learned from one another and gained confidence. Moreover, the experience in itself proved to be highly beneficial for all and, though it will never replace the pleasure of having our students physically in class, helped us maintain the learning process going.
